I"ve been looking at a few small (mini) guitar amps for awhile now. I agree with all the positive reviews and I just went ahead and bought the Boss power chord. For a very long time I have been looking for a small amp that I could use to jam along with music coming from my computer and studio monitors, most of small combo amps are not designed to sound good on low volume, this little amp sounds amazingly good on low volume and high and it is so small that I have it on my desk next to my studio monitors. This little amp has tone for years! One of my coworkers had recently purchased the amp as well and sung its praises so I knew I had to get one for myself and I was not disappointed. Thanks. Boss Katana mini I bought this small amp to use in my motor home. Tried the Mini side by side and at the same volume, and the Micro Cube sounded better in all settings. I have owned a lot of battery operated practice amps in my life , but I have never heard one sound as amazing as this little powerhouse. It is light and sounds bigger than it is. I hate buying batteries and rechargeable are a hassle. The speaker tends to have a fluttery sound, especially when pushed. It's plenty loud and the batteries last a long time. Settings wise I recommend turning the treble down and boosting the bass and mids. I've spent that whole 4 years doing research and hoping to start playing again, so needless to say I spent all my time researching bigger, "real" amps. For soloing, the amp is touch responsive for legato work with surprising harmonics for a big amp feel. A real guitar amp smaller than a shoebox. Unfortunately, you can't stop that speaker. I played my Telecaster and Epiphone LP Traditional Pro through it and both sounded great. But, considering its size and being battery powered, I still didn't expect much. I turn my treble way down on this b/c my pickups tend to overdo it on the higher notes so this amp lets me get better sound out of my guitar.
